Data deletion
Last updated October 27, 2026
You decide how long Postbutter keeps your data. Here is how to remove it.
Disconnect Instagram
- In Postbutter, open Settings → Instagram and choose Disconnect.
- Or, in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites and remove Postbutter.
Disconnecting stops all access straight away and pauses your automations. The account’s Reels, conversations and audience data are deleted 30 days later, unless you reconnect it before then.
Delete your account
- Open Settings → Your data.
- Choose Export first if you want a copy.
- Choose Delete account and type your email to confirm.
This disconnects Instagram, cancels your subscription, removes everyone from the workspace and deletes its data: Reels and analytics, automations, inbox, contacts, scheduled posts and settings. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires, such as invoices. If you are in someone else’s workspace, deleting your account removes you from it but doesn’t delete their data.
